Acting on behalf of Halls of Durham Limited, Graham S Hall Chartered Surveyors are delighted to announce the sale of Forster Business Centre, Durham to the voracious Ward Group Investments Limited for close to £700,000.
The c. 10,000 sq ft neighbourhood office scheme of three buildings; Jordan House, Forster House and Aiden House, with 47 car spaces was developed by Halls 20 years ago when their glassware business moved into property investment and development. Following the retirement of the Directors, GSHCS sold the site to Ward Group Investments Limited and were subsequently retained To Let the last three vacant suites.
Outcomes First Group Ltd, the national fostering organisation, took Suites 1 and 2 Jordan House, after a programme of refurbishment, at a rent close to £10.50psf, where they were represented by Edwards and Co. of Manchester, and last week Geospatial Research Ltd moved into Suite 2 Forster House.
The scheme is now fully let with national car parking company NSL occupying three suites in Forster and Aiden House, Moving On 2 suites in Jordan House, Northern Pub Consultancy Services and GSHCS making up the tenant line up.
The new Landlords have confirmed that they plan to refurbish the external areas early next year.
