Graham S Hall Chartered Surveyors are delighted to announce that; Papa Johns, the popular international pizza chain, has agreed a new 15 year lease on the 1,000 sq ft, former Coral Bookmakers unit at 48-50 Medomsley Road in Consett, Co. Durham.
The property had been vacant since Coral vacated back in 2018 and had become a real eyesore until it was purchased by our client; Skidmore Properties Ltd earlier this year.
We are really pleased to have been able to secure such a high-profile Tenant for the unit. Papa Johns is the world’s third-largest pizza delivery company. Founded in 1984 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Papa John’s has more than 5,000 locations in 44 countries and territories.
An Agreement for Lease was exchanged in September, making the deal binding on the grant of a satisfactory Planning Permission. The Hot Food Takeaway (Sui generis) consent was obtained earlier this month and the new store will be open for business this December, creating 15 new jobs for the local area.
